Apple won't blindly pursue share of the market: Phil Schiller, marketing chief

 The executive had originally been quoted as proclaiming that having a cheaper smartphone to replace feature phones wasn't a direction when the company wished to head. That comment was taken off the revolutionary version on the heart.} story, which now cites Schiller as saying, "Apple has always dedicated to providing the most appropriate goods due to the consumers, we've never blindly chased market share."

 Apple rarely addresses rumors about upcoming products, which often spur intense speculation. Earlier immediately, the Wall Street Journal cited anonymous sources as saying Apple could to produce cheaper iPhone as early as this holiday season.
